Student Empowerment
In light of ongoing political and societal challenges in our nation, the urgency of capable, principled, and forward-thinking leaders proves its necessity. As a student leader, I firmly believe that we are not just passive observers to political strifes and controversies – we hold the power of shaping the future as we advocate for better change. Particularly, in the School of Computing, we Foxes have an ever-unique opportunity to drive progress by using technology for the greater good. I believe that true excellence in our field goes beyond our academic responsibilities – it is about leveraging our skills to be contributors and changemakers in society. Now, more than ever, is the time to cultivate a generation of competent leaders – leaders who understand that technology is a powerful tool that can bridge divides, uphold truth, and drive meaningful progress.

Reliability. Versatility. Excellence. Working with Aerith Catap truly demonstrated to me that it's possible to be a master of all trades. Every task feels manageable when you have a colleague like Aerith—someone who has the remarkable ability to adapt and excel in virtually every situation. His deep knowledge and practical skills across various areas make him an invaluable asset to any team. One of the things I will never forget about Aerith is his incredible ability to balance every aspect of his life. Graduating at the top of our class while also serving as a student leader in the same year was not an easy thing to do. Juggling academic success with leadership responsibilities needs a high level of discipline, focus, and determination. However, Aerith made it appear effortless, repeatedly demonstrating that with the correct mindset and work ethic, nothing is impossible. What stands out the most is not his accomplishments, but how he addressed things with a calm and cool demeanor. His adaptability stems not just from his abilities, but also from his approach to problems, which allows him to pivot, change, and prosper in every situation. Working beside someone like Aerith was an inspiring experience.
Aerith was not only my fellow council member during the 2023-2024 term but also one of my closest friends. Our bond extended beyond our roles, making our connection both professional and personal. Despite being the TVL ICT Representative, he consistently went above and beyond, showing dedication that exceeded expectations. I believe he is a natural leader, Aerith manages and uplifts his peers effortlessly. His passion for his goals is unmatched—when he sets his sights on something, he pursues it wholeheartedly. His diligence and organization inspire those around him, igniting everyone to push and strive for more. Even though we've taken different paths and do lead for different department, Aerith remains a constant source of encouragement. His leadership, dedication, and friendship are truly one of a kind, and I have no doubt he will continue to achieve great things.
