Character References
Upon knowing Jewel, I have seen how genuinely compassionate she is in supporting the people around her. Jewel, as a friend, is someone who is willing to listen. She is willing to listen to you whether it’s about a problem, a rant, or simply seeking advice. She also ensures to make time for others, no matter how busy her schedule might be. These qualities of hers makes her a dependable friend and someone who is always willing to lend a helping hand. Which is why I believe that as a candidate for council, she is also willing to listen to the voices and concerns of the student body. As a student herself, she understands the importance of addressing the concerns of students and I believe that through her leadership, she can create a space where each of our concerns are addressed. Jewel doesn’t just listen—she also seeks to understand and slowly takes steps to help you with your concerns and problems. Whether it’s offering practical advice or just being there for someone at their lowest point, she will be there as a leader and as a companion. With the leadership skills that I have personally witnessed from her, I can assure that she has the capability to advocate for the student body’s needs and ensure that everyone feels valued and heard.
I’ve known Jewel for quite some time now, and I want to describe her in two ways, first as a classmate and second as a friend. As a classmate, Jewel is the type of person who steps up when needed. I remember when no one wanted to be the class representative, because we still don't know our classmates that much and we are still in the adjustment period, she humbly volunteered and took the responsibility. She’s very organized, always reminding us about our deadlines and keeping everyone updated on class stuff. She’s also very friendly and easy to talk to, which I believe is her charm because it makes her super approachable. But even though she’s fun to be around, she knows when to be serious and get things done. She doesn’t like procrastinating and always finishes tasks on time, especially in group works, which shows how responsible she is as a student. If something’s wrong, she speaks up in a respectful way, which helps solve problems without causing any issues. As a friend, I think of Jewel as a person who is always up for new things, which makes her really fun to be around. She’s responsible, and honestly, I feel like I can rely on her like an older sibling. She’s great at deep conversations and listens very well, which makes you feel heard. Even when she has her own struggles, she never lets that affect her studies or friendships. She handles everything with so much grace and humility, which is something I really admire about her. With all these qualities, I believe Jewel would be a great addition in the student council. She has the heart to genuinely care about her classmates and the school community, always making sure that everyone feels included and heard. She’s responsible and takes initiative, and knows how to communicate well. She doesn’t just lead, she inspires others to do their best. So, I have no doubt that she would make a real difference as a student council member.
