Financial Literacy
College students often struggle with money management during their transition to adulthood, which often leads to debts and mismanagement. With that in mind, financial literacy offers essential skills for budgeting, making smart financial decisions, and exploring investment opportunities. These skills can help reduce stress, improve academic focus, and build lasting financial independence. In the long run, financial literacy prepares students for future success and financial stability.

As someone who knows Abby personally, I am honored to speak about her remarkable character, skills, and dedication. Abby possesses an exceptional blend of intellect, empathy, and an unwavering commitment to excellence—qualities that make her the ideal candidate for the Financial Committee Councilor position in the SEA-CSC. Her love for learning and intellectual curiosity drives her to approach challenges with innovative solutions and meticulous attention to detail. Abby is grounded in values of integrity and fairness, essential qualities for a role that demands transparency and accountability in handling financial matters. Her ability to foster meaningful connections and work collaboratively makes her an excellent team player, creating a sense of trust and camaraderie that ensures her contributions leave a lasting, positive impact. I wholeheartedly believe that Abby's unique blend of skills, passion, and dedication will elevate the SEA-CSC's mission to serve the students of the School of Engineering and Architecture. If you're looking for someone with a vision, heart, and the capability to manage with integrity, Abby is the one to support.
In a room full of people, you either wait for those around you to put you on a pedestal and take the lead, or you step up yourself—though the latter can sometimes be seen as a pretentious move. Abby is one of those natural leaders who bravely—and humbly—takes charge in a group of indecisive individuals. As a freshman, she proactively led when the situation called for it, stepping up as her class representative. This is one of her greatest strengths, which became more apparent to me in Year 12. Being grouped with her in a research project, among others, made me realize just how hands-on she can be with the tasks laid before her. Her strong sense of responsibility toward those she guides, coupled with her unwavering commitment to delivering exemplary service, has developed the deep trust I have in her leadership. Moving forward, there is a lot of student leaders who serve the student body with great intentions, but only a few—including Abby—dare to live out those intentions by taking charge and serving others without being asked.
